So, this should be a cosmic story. Spanning across 20+ years, exploring the depth of the mind and the expanse of the world. One of the main narrative purpose of the novel is to try to make a point that each of us is kind of meaningles and enmeshed in events far to greater then ourselves, but on the other hand there is deep meaning in what we do, and each action contributes in some shape or form to the unfolding of reality and history.
To make this point, especially when the apocalypes starts, and war ensues the novel explodes in the number of narrative arcs and characters that are introduced on the scene. Given the length of the novel and to ensure consistency I maintained a log of the characters. you can find it below. I will update it and cross-link it to the posts so that you may orient yourself in case the names become a blur.
Statistics
Just for fun and because I am a data freak, here is a general breakdown of the characters. As I translate data from my xls, I realized that there are a few gaps, that I plan to fix once I start reviewing chapters systematically, I think I can pull some fun statistics, e.g., sex, appearance, temperament, weapon, etc
Currently I have ~200 characters in the novel. I think another 20 are still behind the scenes, but I have to see what happens when I come to the last chapters. I am not fully in control. In numbers I have a slight bias for the Demonic forces, likely a function of Chapter 18 being so long, and generally being cooler do engage with. But the Angels are going to make a comeback in chapter 22. Oh boy.
Here is a chart on how many characters are introduced every chapter. As you can see character introduction increases after Judgement day, and when the War starts, well chaos ensues and numbers go up and to the right.
This post will be updated quite frequently, Iโll try to do it as I complete chapter 22-26. The description of the characters will become richer with time as the story unravel, even though the most fun we will have around chapter 15. Sorry for the long wait.
